Backcountry Medical Supplies was founded by Ashleigh Phillips in Bozeman, Montana in 2020.

Growing up skiing, climbing, paddling, trail running and mountain biking has led her to be an outdoor enthusiast. After several years of working in a critical access emergency department just outside the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, the idea to create specialized medical and rescue kits was born. The importance of providing outdoor adventurists with the tools and education they need to address injuries right in the backcountry was obvious. Ashleigh is passionate about providing specialized medical and rescue kits along with access to Wilderness Medicine courses to all those in the backcountry. At BMS we strive to continue on for many years of adventures!
